Relaxing Stay with Spa and Breakfast

The grounds were good. I especially appreciated the drive up to the hotel (it felt so grand!). The buffet breakfast provided ample choices, including faster and more efficient toasters than I have at home. I found the pool area quite good. The sauna and steam room provided excellent relaxation after a long day of travel.
I found some aspects needed improvements. I booked a table for 12 but was left with a massive let down.

the location it was beautiful and plenty of parking was available.
The room was cold. I requested a heater, but it was too small to properly heat the room and my spa day was really disappointing because of a lack of loungers near the pool.

My stay had issues. I requested adjacent rooms in advance, but they were not available. I was told room service only serves premium rooms. The heating system kept turning off and the room was freezing!!!

The hotel building is genuinely fine, and i enjoyed the decor, including the black and white photos throughout. the grounds are beautifully maintained (i especially liked walking around the golf course!). i found the staff polite. Taylor looked after us very well. i appreciated the choice of plenty at breakfast. The kitchen staff fulfilled my unsalted butter request (this made my morning!).
i noticed some mould around the windows in the brasserie, a minor thing but worth noting for upkeep.
